"Preciosa" is the brand name for a range of luxury, precision cut, crystal and glass products. The word "preciosa" comes from the Spanish word "precioso" which means "precious" or "beautiful".
Preciosa, originated in Bohemia where the craftsmanship of glassmaking was first perfected and has since continued without a break since 1548. Nowadays Preciosa is a world renowned and prestigious company who specialise in the production of high quality Czech crystal beads which are made using unique technologies to achieve outstanding optical features.
Preciosa beads are superb quality. They have a weight and flawless finish which gives them a look and feel unlike any other beads. They are well known for their high brilliance, perfect cut and light reflecting properties.
To make them extra special Preciosa adds iridescent coatings to some of it's crystals. Aurora Borealis, or "AB", is one of the most popular coatings. It adds a special light refracting effect to the surface which makes each bead sparkle with a wonderful array of colours.
